lights stay on
hi i have 4x4 ext cab (rust bucket ) he he 1991 f150, my problem is when i shut truck off my high beams come on and hi beam indicator on dash also comes on i pulled the light switch wires off (about 6 of them) pulled the wires off the steering colom and tried pulling fuses and the lights still come on also put extra ground wire to frame,no command start installed,and when i pulled wires from steering colum the truck would still turn over but would not start that was all the wires i seen coming from steering colum ,i tried using emergency brake trick also ,plus i unplugged the hi-lo floor button,i have heard ford truck daytime lights always go to high beam??? someone please help sick of lifting battery cable off thanks 2johns

yes it is canadian eh. and i am not original owner, bought it off a dealer,the only extra wiring i can see is fog lights ,which i followed the wires and disconnected,tape deck is original,i have trailer lights also but never looked at them,can that be a problem?? any info or ideas would be appreciated , oh yeah thanks for replying Steve 83 eh. 2johns

You'll have to trace the headlight circuit and the DRL system to find the fault. I'm not familiar enough with them to give you any specifics, but get a Haynes manual and look at the diagrams in the back.
