I just bought a 94 f-250 7.3l N/A IDI . It has 84k on it no rust a few dings box is in great shape, and all the maintenance records were up to date. I paid 5k for it, was it worth it?
but w/o seeing and going over it in person I wouldn't say for certain. I bought a '93 F250 supercab 4x4 7.3 IDI in April for $3000 with no ding or rust and 186,000 miles. Since then I've spent about $3400 on repairs...only one on the engine to date....injector pump and I got a bargain on a new one(nice to be a local yocal once in a while).
The rest was on tranny, a/c and ball joints/ u-joints.
Let us kow how it works out for you and maybe post a link to some photos inside, outside, under and over. After that maybe we can say it was worth it. I think mine is....I'm still under what the dealer has offered me in trade for a new Powerstroke 4x4 crewcab long bed 1-ton...$12,000. and BB was $6650 last look.
ENJOY!!! It'll serve you well, I pull some pretty heavy loads everyweek, ranging from horses to heavy equipment so I'm leaning toward the Powerstroke, that's the only reason, I like my F250.
i had a '94 n/a diesel with 254,000 miles on it and no problems whatsoever until it's death (check my gallery). You will love your new truck - with the low miles sounds like you got a pretty nice deal. Enjoy
