Support Bearing

Hey guys..
Does anyone here have instructions on changing the drive shaft support bearing on a 2006 Ford Escape 3.0? Mine is growling like mad..

Links and/or pics would be a great help...

I did mine a while ago pretty easy to do. I bought the new bearing and did the u jionts at the same time. Didnt take any pictures.

I changed out mine on an 05. It wasn't a bad job at all. The dealer was no help, wanting to sell the whole drive shaft but Car Quest (now Advanced Auto) sold me a Doorman brand that came with a life time warranty. It came with the entire cross member, made the job a lot easier.

It's not a bad job. Make sure you mark the orientation of the yokes. You'll split the u joint, take the nut off of the Yoke. Make sure you mark both the yoke and the shaft so it goes back on In the same spot. Pull the yoke and bearing using a puller. Slip the new carrier bearing on and you can use the yoke and nut to press the bearing onto the driveshaft. It's not too bad of a job.
