How most of them are too damn expensive now but the used one you trade in is worth nothing until they go a sell it again...lol

How long have you had it, how bad a shape is it in. I used to drive mine until the body got so bad it wasn't worth fixing or something major and expensive to repair..

How’s this sound:

1998 Mercedes ml320; the suv that resembles a snail.
Bought it in 2010 with 130k miles.
Now has 275k miles; wife Missy drives it to Cali every year (or to IL when we lived in Cali)
in 8yrs replaced:
  • various elec.window switches
  • a/c compressor and hoses, dryer, etc
  • heater core
  • new cats
  • Rear axle seals
  • Shocks
  • Water pump, hoses, tensioners, belt
  • battery 2x
  • tires, 3x
  • brakes 2 or 3 x
  • sun roof seal
  • used transfer case
  • now it needs a new rack and pinion ($1200 in parts, they just arrived).
Engine is fine, has ok power, motor oil tests ok, trans shifts fine, little rust. At this point, might as well keep going...

but Missy is unhappy....
