Thumbs up Picked up the new truck

We just took delivery of our new truck.
Wow Ford did a good job.
We keep trucks 10/12 years, so lots of changes.
First off this thing is a rocket ship! We got the V8 4x4 with 3.55 axle
Again another crew cab with 61/2' box
Seat of the pants,it's quicker than the 5.4 we had (2006)
Lots of bells and whistles.( yes we will have to read the book)
Noticed it has two temperature gauges but no volt gauge.
We will know more in a week or two

One temp gauge is for the engine coolant, the other is for transmission oil temp.
Enjoy your new truck. Congrats!

I am certain this is correct. The 5.4L with the 4 speed transmission was a great workhorse, but was never quick. Both the 5.0L and the 3.5EB are faster than that combination, and both tow better.

All this talk of how much better the new ones are than my '06 5.4L SCrew is rubbish....

OK, OK...its my lie, I'll live it how I like! :-)

Congrats on what I'm sure is an awesome ride - I am really really having trouble avoiding what is an inevitable purchase come the next few months. What am I even doing reading the forum? I have no business in here...

Don't post pics.

I would definitely step back from the forum if you want to draw out the purchase a few months...We are not going to be ones to tell you not to buy. They are definitely an "awesome ride."

Good Luck!!!

(All in fun)

EDIT: BTW, Congrats ssandirene on the new truck!

Here is a quick pic of the new truck.
Youngest son took it for a ride, and yes it will run circles around the 5.4 we had in the last truck.
We ended up buying it from our small town dealer, he traded another dealer for it.
The local dealer was bought out by baumann auto group. It was a real easy transaction.
We get Z plan from ford, were retired from ford, add the tax, took off the rebates, and it was done.
No problem dealer trading for it,and it's just what we wanted

There's two on my route just like this one, a black one and silver one. Congrats! She's gorgeous!

Looks like a twin of ours; except we have the 3.5 EB. Like that truck!

Don't post pics.

I just keep thinking of the payments that will go along with that pretty new truck, and the fact that mine's been paid off for almost 4 years. That snaps me back into reality! LOL
I have driven one though, and it really makes our 2006's feel like an old truck. Ford scored a home run on this one!

I'm with you there. Been a long time since I had any auto payments. Its a great incentive to stick with my '06. Even though its going in to the shop next week for a leaking rear differential...seal around the pinion/driveshaft is dripping. Ugh......
