I'm not a fan of it either but I thought it was cool that it's made from aluminum in the sense that it's easier on the front suspension. Some of the trucks I see with large bumpers/grill guards make the front end sag, looks like it's tired.

That's why you don't wrap a ton of rope or chain around the front of your bumper like a lot of the Jeeps do around here Driving all over town looking all shiny like Michaels truck with 200 pounds of chain from the titanic and a tow truck hook on the end. You know that chain nor the 4wd will ever be put into use
Man, is it that bad?
I'd think if it was powder coated gloss black it woul loom pretty good on a black rig.
Personally I think so. Plus there is the fact that pitting and erosion are a thing if it isn't powdercoated or if it is done badly (like on my bumper). Aluminum is soft and enough back roads or branches hitting it and it will look like crap. You'll go from a nice truck to a 50 yard truck.
You may be cool, but you will never be "50 yards of perfectly kept, never used chains hanging from the front bumper of your wannabe be 4WD cool"
Guess you gotta keep your tire chains somewhere. Maybe should have put the hooks a little higher so they don't drag the ground or slip-and get caught under the front wheels and rip the front end off
yes they do, I may have to contact owner and check them, haven't seen that EX around here before. I'd get them but I doubt they would fit with the stock suspension.
