Best way to track regens.

The notice on the dash showing start of regen is so short that I miss it most of the time. Would a Scangauge II, or some other device provide me more notice that a regen has started? And easier to track?

Edge cs or cts insight would tell you, it also tells you how full the dpf is.

That said, listen to the motor... There is a noticeable change in clatter and the turbo will have very limited boost.

250 miles and another regen and blue smoke. Plus wasting 2-3 gallons of fuel to finish the regen. Truck is going on the for sale block this week! Going for a gas truck now.

Best way to track regens? Get rid of them! SCT Flash tuner - EGR delete, DPF delete, straight exhaust, 20+ MPG... etc... etc...

I got one quote so far on the delete package, tuner and labor - $3200. Is that good or bad?

Blackeyed1: it all depends:
1) What manufacture of tuner?
2) What all are they including in the 'delete' package?
3) How many labor hours did they estimate?
4) For the delete - presuming they are also doing EGR delete - are they deleting everything?

I guess my post was pretty vague. I'll get more info. After I posted earlier, I googled delete packages and there all kinds of stuff out there.

LOL... Did that very same thing 2 weeks ago...

Since my trailering needs have been reduced, no need for a diesel any longer... Went with an F150 FX4...

Let me ask another way. If any of you have gone the delete route, what items would/could/should be deleted, and replaced with what in your opinion? I was told to use an SCT tuner as the best one.
