How effective are Super Swampers/Mud Boggers? Are they worth the price? I currently have A/Ts. They suck, and are getting really bad and unbearable as they are losing their treads (All-Terrains now days might as well be road tires for slick surfaces, since they are a humiliation to the off-roading image). Someone whos had them please reply.
Also how large of tires can I fit on my truck (read the signature below), with no lift ?
Boggers will kick butt royally off road but they have some trade offs. They ride pretty bad, they are ear splitting loud, they wonder alot, and they wear worse than any tire out there. On a 1 ton truck don't expect to get more than 12-15k mi out of a set. If you have money to throw around they are awesome tires for wheeling but they are simply the worse tire there is on the road. I personally prefer the Ground Hawgs over the Boggers. They wear better, have better street manners and are comperable off road. They are nearly as loud but you can get used to that. If you don't like the Hawgs check out the Swamper TSL's. They last longer than the Boggers and are worlds better than any all-terrain out there.
Check here for prices and sizes. They have a really good selection: www.ntwonline.com
I have no leveling kit, and i have 35" x 12.50". At the closest to the wheel wells the tires have about 4 inches of room. If that helps, how big of tires can I fit without scraping when I turn and when my axles flex when I am off-roading (both mudding and rockl climbing)?
Long Live TEXAS.

So then you should be able to fit 42" tires without a lift as long as you don't have any axle flex
I know that but I will have a certain level of flexing when I off-road, so i was just wondering if theres a standard in the industry, or whats a safe limit
I believe I failed to mention that I have 5 leafs and RS5000 in the front and 6 leafs in the back (factory shocks though) so the suspensions pretty stiff and axle flex isn't that bad.
Actually I've never had axle flex to a very noticable degree, but my frame flexes occasionally. I wonder if thats bad (obviously if too much).

You will not be able to run larger than a 36" tire without doing some modification to your front bumper unless you don't mind if it rubs when you flex it. I think that's even too much without a lift but it's up to you. I had 38.5's on my 96 f-350 with a 6" lift and had to trim the front bumper so they wouldn't rub.
No the frame flex won't really hurt anything except maybe the body mounts if it's extreme. I've never worried about it.
