So I'm ordering rims for my 79 f250 4x4 thinking of Mickey Thompson classic 3 in 16x10 with 4.5 inch backspacing and going with 38x15.5x16 inch ssr super swampers I've got a 6 inch skyjacker lift. Anybody running anything similar and should I maybe think about a 12 inch wide rim? Any pictures would be appreciated I can never find what I'm looking for when I search. Thanks
Now I'm even more confused lol! What's your personall opinion on tire size for a 6 inch lift? The truck isn't going off road it's just a pavement queen, think the 38's are to much for 6 inch lift?
Tire sizes are spec'd for a specific size rim. Some tire manufacturer's wont warranty a tire if specified rim size isnt used. Lots of retailers wont install tires that arent on rim size spec'd because of liabilty.
Finally got it painted huh? Looking good, I still like the flat bed.
Yea a buddy of mine who used to do paint/body work sprayed a cheap rustoleum job down on it. Looks good but rust is going to show through again at some point. I'd like to buy extra fenders and a hood at some point and make it look real good, but all the funds are going towards the 400 I'm having built at the moment.
