How did he tell that there was failed bushings

 

The springs are rubbing on the spring mounts .you can see the bushing.I'm getting started now. Just got home from work.

My son and I got most of it done yesterday .work on it till 10 p.m.lol.driver side front bolt had to be cut.locked up solid! U bolts on driver side were pain.one broke and others wer very tough.passenger side went great.my shackel bushings were in great shape though.goin to find a bolt soon and get everything back together.hopefully this rain goes away. Weird wisconsin weather this year.Hiz.couldn't post pics.sorry

Hiz...yea.I'm just outside of oshkosh.having trouble getting the axle back in place.lol.it won't move over.anybody got any suggestions?

 

Finally done!! Boy what a pin! Lol.but it rides and drives great! Glad its done.

 

Congrats! Just had V-codes installed with energy suspension bushings and ATS U-bolts....Best 350 I ever spent!! I did the rears myself when I was in TX at my dads shop. Took me 2.5 days!

May I ask which ES bushing kit you bought? I have v/b codes off 2008 SD on my 2000 XLT. Wondering if they would be the same. I want to do the complete kit and not have to piece one together.

I couldn't find anything for 2008 even from the Energy suspension guide, only goes up to 04...

 

The energy suspension kit I got was the front leaf spring bushing kit.it came with shakle bushings to.the number is 4.2148r.hope that helps ex.
