If you read the text in the opening post from the truck's owner, it is a promotional tool for an offroad shop. In that context (and possibly starting off as a damaged EX) it makes sense, it's a decently done custom one-off rig that would attract a certain amount of attention (mostly positive I'm sure) which could be then directed to the shop. I don't see it as competition for an F-250 at all and it does look better than the Avalanche.

It does look better than an Avalanche (but then again any GM product conceived in that time frame Aztek, Rendezvous, etc. looks like a kitchen appliance on steroids) however, the Av has a "pass thru" between the bed and pass compartment and the cargo/bed area is also finished (albeit with plastic) Pic #2. I guess that is why they left the "XLT stone guards" off, as drain holes.

As Tom mentioned it is a 'one-off' concept vehicle created by a local shop nothing more, nothing less.

The writing in the article, and the rest of the "magazine" is on par with a middle school newspaper article written by the kid who loves mud trucks and has never heard the words "stay on topic" in his life. This magazine is like playboy, only good for the pictures. The really sad part is there aren't enough of those and they are mostly Facebook quality pics.

it honestly just reminds me of a Bronco with how the body curves downwards right after the rear doors, similar to a bronco, unlike on trucks where its mostly a 90 degree downward drop.

i think its a cool concept overall, and i'd be willing to bet that the average person would see this and think it was stock (other than lift, wheels etc), but the actual vehicle itself, i can see how one would think this is something Ford offered. they just need to revisit the barn doors and even the interior of the "bed" and change a few things on that, and i think it'd be perfect then. get rid of that dip on the top of the barn doors, and make the inside of the bed more finished looking, at least under the rear window where it's easier to see from the back of the truck.

I think keep the barn doors but put the huge ford oval cut in half in them like the new trucks have. Would really set it off in my opinion.
