EGR questions
I've read everyone's rave reviews of putting a restrictor plate on the EGR valve. So this weekend while cleaning out the throttle body and Idle Air Bypass, I went ahead and pulled it off the back of the intake manifold. I couldn't get the dang thing off that big ole rusty pipe it's hooked up to back there, so I took an inspection mirror and checked out the intake side. Something definetely looked wrong. The lower hole on the intake side was completely blocked off. It wasn't buildup or anything like that, but it did look like someone threw a freze plug in there or something. Is it supposed to be like that?

Perhaps a knowledgeable person or dealership came up with a fix to restrict half of the EGR flow? But heck, mine might have already been like that, so I don't know. I'd offer to take mine apart to see, but I didn't like the way one of the two bolts went in... so I'm thinking there might be a cross-thread problem with mine now, so it isn't ever coming apart again.
Anyone else?
Chris
