I just bought this 59, and have realized just how many aftermarket parts are not available for it,..lol. It took me a while to get the owner talked out of it, and almost missed out because he finally decided to sell, but didn't know where to find me.
Thanks. I'm already tired of the FE docked under the hood, and I have a 351 Cleveland and c6, that I am going to tear down and see what it will take to get it healthy, I have had the engine for a long time in storage, and for some reason it's stuck..lol. I should have put oil in the cylinders..my bad.
I was hunting for a crown vic for the drivetrain, but I don't think I want to lower it that much, I like the way it sits. I am also weighing the frame swap option and go to 4wd. I have my eyes on a 78 shortbox for a donor. So I will either rebuild the frame as is with a power steering upgrade, or 4x4.

If you pull your FE for the 351C please take some pictures of the motor mounts on the frame.
Mine has a 351C and I might switch it for a FE.
Whoever put the FE in it, cut the front mounts off of the frame, and welded flat plates with braces to the top and inside of the frame rails straight out from the sides of the block. Not a bad job though. I will take pics when the snow clears.

Sounds good, thanks. I think I found a tailgate today less than 2 blocks from my house. There is a 57 pickup box trailer in a side yard, and it doesn't look like it has any rust.
