Weld Problems The Issue Here?

The bracket had a weld that was not consistently being put on. A line worker found one with a hairline crack and they shut down production last week for about 3 shifts. Everything that was shipped was brought back or held. As of Tuesday we were supposed to find out about stress tests done on these at the Arizona proving grounds. Welders were also brought in by DANA to put extra welds in place. As of tonight nothing has been said of releases yet.

Artsbest, you have real time knowledge of production problems, you already know the reason for the problem (brackets werent being "consistently put on"), you have plant production knowledge (the plant was shut down for 3 shifts), you have firsthand knowledge of ford's 04 f150 logistical plans (fords were either stopped or pulled back), you have access to Arizona proving ground information (information that is carefully guarded), you are privy to insider knowledge as to Ford's remedial action plans (bringing in DANA welders), and you are up to date on tonight's product releases. Gee, to have all that knowledge am i actually corresponding with bill ford? If you are not bill ford, what's your role in this alleged problem? where do you get your "info"? why should we believe it? I am an objective person. I dont assume the 04's have no problem, but if people say they do then supporting explanation/documentation is required.

Give the guy a break. We will know soon if he is full of crap. I would rather hear something that sound reasonable then nothing at this point.

In any case time will tell.

What? Everything I read is available to you and everyone else. There are NUMEROUS web sites that deal with the F-150. All you have to do is read them. It's as simple as that. My "posts" are NOT mine. They are from the actual workers at the Va. plant. BE COOL. These new production vehicles ALWAYS have unforseeen flaws. That's what the new 04's are experiencing right now. NOBODY knows more about these trucks than the workers producing them. Go to Blue Oval (just one example) and read some of the messages on the "boards." That's what the internet is for. Just what we're doing right here right now.
