The Coolant temp is not as much of an issue as the oil temp. I have found a great aftermarket radiator but don't want to install it until I get the oil temps in line because I will get the temp differential warning. The coolant temp comes down very quickly when I reduce the power. So it seems the water pump is doing it's job but a larger radiator would help with the excess heat build up in the first place. Again can't do that until I get the oil temps down.

Thanks

i would start with getting the exhaust temperatures while towing down first, it is likely where the excess oil temp is coming from. The oil cools things like the turbo bearings and some of the engine that is affected by exhaust temperatures.

Senix asked about you fan, did you verify that works?

Also the BPD oil cooler makes the splits run further apart anyways. You could put a fan on the BPD cooler to help cool the oil there. With temps at 100+ ambient, and 7-8 degree incline it's not going to cool much.

Your theory of bigger radiator making the split bigger isn't necessarily true either. If the block is cooler, so is the oil.

The fan seems to work well! The fan has a lower temp mod. It know **** in 10 degrees sooner. At about 215-218 it sounds like an airplane.

Thanks
