One of the engineers involved in testing the 6.2, you can find the thread on here, suggested north of 10,000 lb to get the 4.30.
I would say anything north of 7,000 lb. There is more upside than downside to having the 4.30 if you do a lot of towing at all.
This comes from someone who towed a 6,000 lb Travel trailer for a while then moved up to a 12,000 lb 5'er all with the 3.73.

4.30 all the way, even for daily driving I wish I had them. I don't do a ton of highway driving so 6th gear is of little use to me around town and on country roads with the 3.73's, kinda sucks. I'd rather have the extra grunt.

Lol, it's on the list of mods I want to do. I have better things to do with that 2 grand right now. If I was ordering a truck new though I would definitely have wanted someone to talk me into the 4:30's though.

What brand ring and pinion did you go with? Will be trying to order a 2016 in the next week or two, but with the rebates for trucks on the lot will most likely sacrifice the 4.3 for the 3.73. I see many 4.3 sets in the $300-400 range (each axle) which makes taking the current rebates a better deal than ordering one and swapping the ring and pinion. Might even be happy with the 3.73. Have them in my current 2000 V10 with 33"od tires and no issues. Only concern is the RPM's almost seem too low with the 3.73 on the new trucks.

I'm not sure what brand. I told gear shop I wanted OEM and I think for 2011 with the 6.2 there is only two choices either 3.73 or 4.30 but I really can't tell you what brand. I did find the 3.73s to run too low which even on a slight incline unloaded it would downshift. 4.30s it runs high enough that a lot of minor hills it doesn't even leave 6th gear anymore.
You need gear for that.
