Exhaust question

I have a diamond eye Exhaust that came with the green truck. It was just dumping out the down pipe. well I may or may not have had an incident tonight where the truck came a hairs length from slipping off the hoist. In this possible maylay, it took a cab light, bent the skid plate, and ripped the cover for my 7 pin connector clean off

Why am I telling this? I guess I'm a sucker for punishment.

But my question is, can you buy sections of the exhaust? Or am I stuck buying it all? I need the piece that goes from 3 in to 3.5 in.

Here's a pic. I apparently have no shame. As they say, could always be worse.

Thomas, you may be able to buy a foot of 3" from a muffler shop, and have them expand one end to 3.5".

Glad you didn't hurt there buddy!

If I can't find it, I may go this route, only issue I see is this secton has a bend in it as well.

And thanks, it was pretty scarry. That's the closest I've ever come to loosing something off the hoist in almost 4 years of being here. At least it was my own vehicle and not a customers.

I will see if I can pursue this further. I hate to buy all new.

Is there any length of the last part, that points straight back, that's not damaged? If so, just cut off the bent-up part, and get some straight pipe, and 3" - 3.5" adapter.

Well the end was all messed up from the last time the hoist and it got into a tussle. Should have done something with it before that. But like a moron, I didn't. The whole pipe is pretty much trashed. The only part that's good is the first part where it couples onto the down pipe. and that is it.

This is so true. I had a dream about it last night. I thought it was gonna go, just like you see in the videos, only slow motion. Got it back on the ground though.

As for the DP I may need to seek a creative solution. lol. Looks like these guys have me on the right track.

Yeah, seems to me if you have any undamaged length extending below where it passes the tranny, you should be able to fab something with generic bend pipe, 30* or 45*, and then straight pipe back from there. Whatever you do, use band clamps and not those pipe-crushing U-bolt clamps.

That sumbeoch is fixable! Pull it and get out the smoke wrench. A few wellplaced hot spots and pulling it'll be like new. Just need an expander to make the end round again. Here lately I'm in touch with my inner tighta$$ .. Cumin just fix it

This was my thought as well. Even if I got a straight piece of pipe and used the blue wrench to bend it.
