They have a history of going bad, sometimes slowly, sometimes like snapping your fingers.
On edit: and HPOPs are not common failures. More likely causes of sudden loss of Injection Control Pressure (ICP) is a bad Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) or ICP sensor. Be nice to know the DTC codes they pulled, if you can get those. Or maybe if they say low ICP from a code they pulled, could be something else entirely now and the code is 6 years old. Know the service history? Any chips or tunes on it?
I have a superchip I bought when the truck was new but it's set to economy row. This truck has not even done a brake torque, I'm to tight to buy tires LOL
Could it be an issue with the chip coming loose and possible frying the PCM or other problems? I am not familiar with super chips so I don't know if it connects to the PCM or the OBD II port. Do the dash lights and WTS light come on?
All lights work it just died while driving. The superchip is a programmer that plugs in under dash and you choose which program to run then unplug. Very old school, 14 years old. I haven't changed programs in years.
