The San Juan Islands are in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. The local realtors call San Juan County the 'banana belt.' Ok, now I gotta look at that tonner you posted....

I already have a good start on that truck. Same sun faded green. I have been painting trim pieces for the hood/grille just so it looks more complete as it waits for 'restoration' down in my lower shed. I am really thinking of installing my extra cummins 6at in it. These oddball small cummins have a chev bellhousing, as cummins produced them for UPS and others to replace chev sixes in their smaller trucks in the late '80s. Not sure of there's an adapter to mate a chev engine to a ford crashbox, but I'd sure like to find one.

Chevy engine to flathead adapters are easy to find, they make new ones. Look in speedway.

Have the fenders been bobbed for dumping at the grain elevator? Not too severe if so. There have been some patches on the sides of the bed, probably over rust. Here is a comparison. After further review, the fenders should be below the running board level.
