axle play question
I have an '87 F250 with the Ford 10.25", semi-floater. When I have the rear wheels off, I can lift the hubs up and down and get a small amount of play. I'm getting no fluid leakage, no noise, or anything, but I would like to know if there is an amount of play in the outer bearing that is considered okay. I can't find anything in my manuals as to what is permissible. Can anyone help?
