These could have been design an finish off a little better on the rear closure with a inner removable cap with a couple screws to hold in place.
The way this is setup is push your gauge into the cup and your to figure out for yourself how to affix the gauge from moving around. Plus cut the back open for access to hold the gauge in place an run the wires out of it.

Yeah that's what I had to do to this one, here's a picture of the backside.
As you can tell I ran the wires and the light without doing a complete removal of the back.
I may cut out an egg hold in the back inner an made an end cap from ABS Plastic attach with 2 little screws into the shoulders but will see.I'll Put my Dermal to work.

But how do you wrinkle finish a plastic piece ?
Old wrinkle finish in a spray can requires you to bake(yes in oven) the part after spraying to make it wrinkle .
