Question Kickdown? Where is it?

Hi, I am having trouble with my 1985 BII. I wants to die while running (giving gas to turn a corner), but if you let off the gas a little it will keep going. It also seems like it is not moving as fast as it should be on the hi-way. Like it is not going into over drive. I've been told to check the kickdown. Don't know where it is and I do have the Chilton and cannot find it in there. I have been reading lots of forums...Great info. Thanks for any help.

Kickdown? Where is it?

Never dealt with small ford carbs but when I had a carbed 350 the kick down was simply the "other cable" The one that does not attach to the accelerator and is the one that attaches to the tranny, obviously both connect to the carb. I hope this helps and if not, get a little more specific and I'll try to work you through it.

Well , I checked and adjusted the kickdown....turns out the problem with the bronco's power was a burned fuse link from the computer under the dash on the passanger side......Thanks for the help.
