if you let it sit over night and try to fire her up on the rear tank its very hard to start.you have to hold it to the floor and sometimes it floods out.on the other hand if you have it on the front tank it fires right up.but iv only tryed this once, ill let yall know in the morning if it fires up again. what could cause this? map sensor?
on to the vent question.
the vent door that opens up the outside air dosent work.has no vacuum.

Since the truck runs/starts fine on the front tank the issue is most likely a problem with the rear fuel pump. On the other hand: does the rear tank appear to be filling the front tank?
Check the fuel pressure when using the rear tank.
on to the vent question.

I assume you mean the air recirculation door with the white vacuum hose?
With no vacuum applied the flapper door is allowing outside air into the HVAC system. With vacuum applied (Off/Max AC) the door closes off the outside air supply and recirculates air from the cabin.

we fixed the filling problem, we put in a new fuel pump in the front tank. just when we start it on the rear tank it takes for ever to start. this morning i try the front tank and it fired right up.
as for the vent yea its the one with the white hose. our truck dont have ac. so where should i put it to see if its getting vaccum?

The previous diagram I posted may not be accurate for your model year truck.
To me the door should have vacuum in the Off position. In Vent, Floor, Defrost there should be no vacuum.
