A group of seniors in Florida were sitting around talking about all their ailments.
"My arms have gotten so weak I can hardly lift this cup of coffee," said one.
"Yes, I know," said another. "My cataracts are so bad; I can't even see my coffee."
"I couldn't even mark an "X" at election time, my hands are so crippled," volunteered a third.
"What? Speak up! What? I can't hear you!"
"I can't turn my head because of the arthritis in my neck," said a fourth, to which several nodded weakly in agreement.
"My blood pressure pills make me so dizzy!" exclaimed another.
"I forget where I am, and where I'm going," said another. "I guess that's the price we pay for getting old," winced an old man as he slowly shook his head. The others nodded in agreement.
"Well, count your Blessings," said a woman cheerfully "and thank God we can all still drive."
I was pulling up to a bank in Decatur GA the other day. Police car is in the supermarket parking lot and a car is next to the cruiser with its back bashed in. A pretty severe hit, I can see from the side that the back of the trunk practically meets the roof line and the trunk floor pan is crushed back about six inches.
Trying not to be too nosy as I walk by I noticed it looks like it got rammed by something telephone pole. So, I am looking around to try to see something that big he could have hit in the parking lot.
Coming back from the bank I hear the police officer say to the guy, you called and now I have to file a report. It does not look like anyone hit you. It looks like you backed into a pole and I have to write it up like that because that is what my eyes see. 70s-80s year old guy is not happy, he thinks the police officer is now calling him lair.
Then the police officer walks closer to the car while writing his report and says "wait a second. You hit a tree. See the leaves and bark are still in the paint!"
I guess he walked into the store and on the way out said oh no, someone hit my car and immediately called the police. I guess he must have backed out and hit a tree somewhere without realizing it. A light seemed to go off when the officer mentioned hitting a tree.
Hope noone was between the car and tree at the time.
Probably not, rebocardo, otherwise there would be leaves, bark and blood. LOL. It's pretty scary that someone hit a tree and did that much damage and can't remember it.
