Doesn't really seem too bad. I've seen a lot worse! LOL!
The wind was blowing and cleared it out pretty good. But at 54* it shouldn't smoke like that. When it's a little colder it's smokes a sh** ton more and is struggling hard to stay running. I Agree it is pretty funny when u fill up the parking lot with smoke. CHOO CHOO
Well Jody asked if I was starting it in the modified stock because it has an extra 30 degrees of cold start. I've been running the 80hp daily. So once I get back from Spokane I will try it in the modified stock and see what happens.
Doesn't seem too bad at all. If I get the chance to start my truck I will make a video. May have to check on the tunes though and turn it down a bit, or just unplug the chip...
I hope this works. 3 degrees Celsius plugged in for five hours the chip was in the second setting. Batteries freshly charged terminals cleaned and tightened. The starter does crank rather slow. I will check into that. Is this normal?
Yes it is. I would wonder if it still smokes like that with the chip out. You've got stock nozzles so technically it should run like a stock truck with the chip out
I finally got around to doin some work on my truck. Some glow plugs tested bad. So I changed them all out. Tested volts to the at the gp connector and getting 11.8 volts. One thing I did notice was that all the old plugs when pulled out had oil covering them except the front one on the passenger side. It was dry ( the truck hadn't been started in a few weeks). If this normal or a bad thing??!?! Started it up this morning. And filled the front yard with smoke @ 40* outside. And the idle seemed like it was just chugging along. (The best way to describe it) would you guys think adding a fuel heater into my filter head help tone down the smoke?
