carb rebuild ?s
I have 2 motorcraft/autolite 2100 carbs and both started leaking from diaphragm after installing new fuel pump and lines
I pulled one apart last night and compared to instructions in kit, it's missing a few parts.. Inlet check ball retainer, screw gasket & ball. Could this model simply not have it or was previous rebuild done incorrectly? I don't see where they could even go. Lol
Anybody dealt with this befor?

those parts are necessary. accelerator pump won't work properly without them.
are they leaking from the power valve diaphragm or the accelerator pump diaphragm?
they are great carbs, so don't give up.,...jack

Dashpot (9B549 in pic) only used with A/T
2100 series 2V carburetor kit same 1962/74: D4AZ-9A586-A (replaced C2AZ-9A586-B) Motorcraft CT-499-D .. available from Ford/auto parts stores.
