Child Safety Lock Question

The child safety lock on the rear passenger side door keeps locking by its self. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Its a common problem and we have replaced many latches for it.

Child Safety Lock Question

A quick and simple fix... take the eraser off a new pencil... cut it into a "T" and shove it in the child lock switch.... no more auto locking

Simple is good. ..

But how about replacing the latch ? Do you know how to remove the latch for the rear door ?

Yep its a pain. You have to remove all the latch components, of which some are riveted into place, such as the inner lock rod assembly and the power door lock actuator. Allow at least an hour to do it, and up to two depending on skill.
