Installing Air from Scratch

So I bought a 75 f250 highboy from a guy who ended up gutting the whole thing, and as of right now I only have the panel and vents on dash for the air..... I have no a/c,blower, or even air ducts for that matter. Pretty much starting with a blank slate here.

Was I was wondering is what is the best route to go with this? Donor truck or get a complete air system and ducting? right now im working with the 260 air (2 windows down at 60mph) haha

***Also I will mention I have a 95 12v cummins in this truck for the motor, not the old 390

My understanding is that the cummins won't clear the factory AC box, so it might not be possible, but when I swapped mine, I got an entire parts truck of stuff including the wiring, box, dash, etc. If you can afford it, my guess is that an aftermarket one would be the best way.

Is there a unit that includes everything? So I can just buy a whole package rather than buying parts?

When I installed AC in my '77 I had a non AC firewall to cut a big hole in ....and I stripped every piece of AC related parts from two donor trucks, a '73 standard cab and a '79 super crew contributed. Then I picked the best from each. I made a template for the big hole from the '79 as well as measured other needed cuts like beside or for lines.

Not so sure that big AC box will clear a Cummins?

Yes.. there are several companies.. vintage air... nostalgic air etc.. and lots of threads on here discussing them

I agree.. factory ac box will not clear cummins iirc.. ask cummins conversion guys.. they cut up the box... so after market may be better way to go
