Cleaned and painted the original wheels, located some dog dish hubcaps that originally came on the truck, had the hood painted, installed a MINT brand new bug shield, and installed brand new in the box NOS tail light lenses. Also scored a near immaculate seat and dash pad.

Sure have! I can not wait to see it with a good paint job on it. But it works for now!

Great that you and your Dad have done so much work on this truck! Thanks for all the pictures! You can be very proud! I would drive that! My Dad had a 1980 F250 2wd. It was still functional enough to do a lot of work in 1999. It had no clutch left, so I just put it in low and started it. What a beast!
Regards,
Chris

Thanks guys I cant claim all the credit, dad busts his butt on this thing. I can say I love how it has come out and cant wait for it to go to paint.

Speaking of paint, we got two of 3 tailgates for this truck back from paint recently...

I'm excited to see what the future holds. We just new front shackles and leaf springs made up by a local spring shop, so they will be going back in soon. All new axle pivot bushings and hardware are ordered, but we are having trouble finding a knuckle for a 44HD TTB. It's just worn out from years of abuse, I beleive the caliper guide pin holes are oblong or something. I forget lol.

Find a complete dana 50 ttb and put that under there. You will get a heavier frontend that can handle that plow a little better also.

As for upgrading to a 50, he wont do it, this axle is all fresh except the knuckle. He doesnt really plow anymore as it is, maybe once or twice a year. Not commercially.

I think the ultimate compliment is when your friends pick the old girl out of traffic because they saw an old Ford and thought you might like it, not realizing.

By the way, we decided to ditch the old 16.5 wagon wheels and opted for some 16" Pro Comp wheels similar to wagons with some 315/75/16 Cooper STT Pro tires.

It definitely blows my mind how far something that any sensible person would have scrapped has come.
