I have been having this problem for a while now and have finally decided to get to the bottom of it. My trucks idle will go down about 100 rpm every 10-15 seconds or so and the truck will compensate accordingly, but this happens any time I am idling. The truck will also bog down when braking and the idle will drop down to 480-500 and then jump back. I can also hear what sounds like one injector going bad. I replaced the injectors with Rosewood stage 1.5's 1600 miles ago and it was having the same problem but less pronounced before I switched them. I just checked my idling fuel pressure and it was about 50-55 and the pump was replaced with a stock delphi. I talked to my friend who is a ford diesel mechanic and he said the problem is lack of fuel or oil getting to the injectors. Are there any other possible causes or ways to fix this? And how can you check the high pressure oil easily? I have a 5000 psi gauge that I can rig up.
It sounds like the IPR is sticking . Check the Connection to the ICP Sensor on the left head right next to the lifting ring first . Look for oil leaking from it
Would the only symptom be a bad idle? I have heard hard or no start is another. and if the idle fuel pressure is where it should be, why would it be having problems?
Will do, I ordered a new o-ring set from riffraff so I may just pull the whole thing and reseal it anyway and hope that works. But I will try it with the sensor unplugged first.

IPR o ring is usually a warm oil issue . Good luck
I checked the IPR connection at today and there was a bit of oil on it, and it did not start with the IPR unplugged. I think this seal kit will do the job.
It shouldn't start with the IPR unplugged. The ICP should be unplugged when starting. I know there are lots of three letter acronyms and it is easy to mistake one for the other. The ICP is on the driver head at the front, close to the lift ring.
You can hook your gauge up by removing one of the oil galley plugs along the inside of the head.
