The History of Semi Trailer Trucks - Great Western Transportation
I don't think that the trailers would be a popular item for sale. But if you see one in your travels, stop and see if it is for sale.

If you go to the ATHS site, or join to get the Wheels of Time magazine each month, their classified section has a catagory dedicated to vintage OTR trailers. Stu

Henry Ford?s hydroelectric dream on the Hudson | Hemmings Daily
Thanks for the information on this dam. I thought it looked like a hydroelectric building but I didn't notice the dam in the background; It didn't look like Washington State.

There's a trailer about that vintage alongside interstate 5 northbound between Marysville and Mt Vernon. Been sitting there for years. Has all the right lines but It's on the property of an old chicken operation and who knows what's been in it? And that twin six cylinder.... Can you imagine that with a chain drive tandem axle setup and a load of logs on board? I think of an old country song about 'Give me 40 acres to turn this rig around'......

Chain drive would be a big oiling project. It sounds like this unit had a drive shaft from each transmission to one of the differentials. It must have been a great sound!
Here is a duel 8 cylinder truck made on the coe Ford:

My nephew has a pretty cool 40s-50s trailer out at the ranch. They just use it for storage but it used to belong to The Passion Play and they used them to pack the whole production between the Black Hills and Florida

Now I've seen everything! '42-'47 panel but the rear fenders are too short and the belt line has been filled in solid for whatever reason. I think Willowbilly might be planning an added door or two like that one. I wonder why the two sets of wheels up front? And then there is the roof line, way too straight at the rear and the running board meets the rear fender too high. There is just nothing normal about that rig. I wonder if it still has a ford v8 or six under the hood. And whats up with the Maltese cross? Huh???
