My father owns an absolutely perfect XLT 350 Crew cab, dual wheeled, Ford truck with 16,000 original miles! He only drove it to and from the campground to haul our trailer when I was a child a few times. He is a major car fanatic and the truck has been in a garage and taken out only in clear weather and maintained and babied for years! He has full running boards and a matching cap on the rear, etc. The seats have been covered and the floors have paper covering the mats! When I mean perfect, I mean perfect! He is discussing about selling the truck and we have no idea what a truck like that would sell for. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it. I would love to know what a truck like that would be worth for being that age, but in great condition. Thanks again. Kimberly
Unfortunately, unless you found somebody with the some love for the same truck, you are probably not going to get near what the truck is worth to you or your father. Retail value on a vehicle like you described from NADA is $3450. Unless you can find somebody who is into old trucks, you'd be better off to keep it! just my 2cents worth.
That's what I noticed by the Blue Book value. My father mentioned something about going to a horse show, etc. and putting it up for sale, where someone would appreciate a truck of that size for towing. I guess we will see if he will be able to part with it. Thanks for your input. Kimberly
I'd imagine you can get quite a bit more than the NADA blue book but not only do you have to find somebody who values that age of truck and its condition, you also need to find someone who can come up with the extra cash because banks will usually finance just the NADA value or some percentage of that. Good luck, sounds like a great truck.
