LETS SEE YOUR 67 TO 72 PICK UP

I just picked this up from my old Army buddy in Denver this past weekend, drove it across I80 with my daughter back to SLC, hopefully it will be some great memories for her. As soon as my friend got out of the truck (he picked us up in it) my daughter said "this is cool, I can't wait to play drive in this". She likes to pretend that she is driving when the truck sits in the driveway, just like I did as a kid.
It was a solid driver for those 550 miles. Cruised at 70-80 mph. The battery caused us some concern a couple of times not wanting to start, but that just meant I didn't turn off the truck unless absolutely necessary (it's easy to take a **** next to the truck about anywhere in Wyoming). To add to the adventure, I ran out of gas (only 1 tank works) on the freeway, but I was able to feather it down the offramp, and it died right as I was pulling into the parking lot for the gas station.
I'm looking forward to fixing her up so my daughter can drive it so school in 8 years.

'70 F-350 car hauler
Just thought I'd throw up a shot of my current bumpside that I use to haul my enclosed car hauler. It's an all original F-350 dumptruck. Well, all original except for the engine. Switched the stock 360 for a built 390 that puts out probably 375-400 hp. I've got a 445 stroker in the works to replace it, but the 390 does a fine job of pulling the trailer, even when it's at 8000 lbs fully loaded. Pulling through the hills of Pennsylvania proved no problem for it, but the 445 will give me some added torque for taking off up some of the steeper hills.
This is a shot from last year when I hauled my car to Drag Week in Illinois. I'm from Ohio, so it was a 12 hour drive for me since top (safe) hauling speed is about 60 mph. Plans are to restore the truck since it's in really good shape. I can't afford a new truck, so this one is gonna have to last me a while. In fact, this is the newest truck I've ever owned..lol I've owned lots of Ford trucks over the years, my last one being a '68 F-250 Highboy.
