Third brake light heat
A friend said to check out the bulbs in my new 2015 XLT because his melted so severe the salesman ordered him a new one. His truck had less than 2k miles on it. It started right away again, so he switched to the Sylvania 194 leds and has not had a problem since. I have 300miles on mine and the third brake light/cargo lights were already discoloring. I felt the heat coming off when I touched them. I only got in and out of truck, did not leave door open...they put out some heat quick. I put the 194's in the cargo lights (direct fit) and you can leave the door open and they stay way cool...never gets hot...so I saved my cheap brakelight/cargo plastic from warping and letting in H20...
