hard starting when hot
I have a 89 with a 302 when the engine is cold the thing starts right up with just a touch of the key but when it has been driven and is warmed up i have to crank on it before it starts, a real pain!! any Ideas? dan

Buy a $12 Haynes manual (PN 36058; light blue cover), a $10-40 multimeter, and pull the codes. It'll probably turn out to be the coil, ignition module, or fuel pump.

Your timing could be slightly advanced, but the Haynes manual will tell you that theres a fault in the fuel or electrical system... which really narrows it down ya know what I mean?

Steve83 is right, pull the codes. On my 89, my starter would get hot and would just turn and turn but not start. If I let it cool down 10 or 15 minutes, it would fire right up.
