Bents must be rare in your parts. We've got a Bentley dealer in town.. next to the Maserati and Aston-Martin dealerships.
Mario, the Maserati dealership owner, once in a while will dabble with a few Ferraris. He had two 458 Italia Spiders for sale a few weeks ago and has since sold them. In the parking structure I use, a Lamborghini Huracan parks on the same deck... it looks like a door stop... a very bad azz doorstop.
Btw and as an FYI, Lamborghini names their vehicle models after fighting bulls.
I've driven a few Bently's through work and really not too impressed for the price tag. I guess I'm not one for luxury though. I've driven ALOT of different cars, brand new Tesla's/Benz/Audi's/etc...heck even a Ferrari California, and sure the new cars are cool and all but I'm sure glad I drive home in a bump everyday
Shotgun, commonly known as a scattergun, but what the hell a shotty is, I dunno.
Right, that's the point. It's a colloquialism. (col·lo·qui·al·ism kəˈlōkwēəˌlizəm) noun, a word or phrase that is not formal or literary, typically one used in ordinary or familiar conversation.) The post is full of them as is most folk's everyday conversation.
Colloquialisms, like jokes or amusing anecdotes, aren't meant to be precise conveyors of information. In using them I was attempting to illustrate a point: that my silly little story about parking my old heap next to an exotic car wasn't so much about automotive history as it was just supposed to be fun, and so fact-checking it misses the point. It's like fact-checking a joke instead of laughing at the punch line.
Shotty is accepted slang for shotgun among gun enthusiasts. (Shotty: Derived from the word "shotgun" where the person who calls it gets the front seat in the car. Instead of using this only on driving in a car the word may be used to call "dibs" on something or doing something first. Also can be used as "shotty not" where it gives rights to a person not doing a specific task.Urban Dictionary: Shotty)
