Unhappy 2003 excursion limited 4x4???

well i went and test drove a new excursion today and was ready to trade in my wife's 01 tahoe. man that thing is like drivin a school bus!! it is huge, it has a tremendous amount of room on the inside and after coming home here and reading some of the post's on the problem's with them i am kinda shying away on it.

is there quite a few problem's with these excursion's or are there just a few out there?? it seem's there are alot of problem's with the front brakes and also electrical problem's?? just like to know in advance before i give out my kid's college fund. LOL

That depends...
What's the build date on it the 6.0L?
look at the driver side "valve" cover for a sticker that will have an enigne date on it...
My '03 4x4 6.0L Ex had a Late April build date and now has 7500 GREAT miles on it (that's right 7500 miles in 4 months) I couldn't have had too many problems with mine....
It's in the shop for the first time for the "new" car minor adjustments and second oil change - no real issues that 'made' me bring it in before now and I finally had a window when I would let it out of my sight for a few days !!!
Got a loaner and gave it a hug bye-bye and getting it ready for another trip from DFW to Memphis...

I FEEL for those that have had problems with the earlier than April build dates, but I've been extremely happy with mine... The BEST travelling vehicle I've owned and I used to have motorhomes !!! (Actually I think this Ex is longer than one of my early Class C's !!! It was only 18' and the Ex may be longer than it!!!)

Get it!! We are on our second '03 X Lmtd 6.0. The first we took delivery of in February. It did have a few of the early 6.0 problems but nothing serious. That one was totaled in an accident May 18th. We took delivery of the second on June 8th. It now has 7600 miles on it and is flawless! Nothing like it on the road...it's great!! You won't regret it!
