I have cpme across a aftermarket performance cam that came out of a 71 mustang with a 351C my uncle gave the cam to me and I want to know how to tell the size(duration) and brand it is, there are numbers printed on the cam any info or links to help me are a great help I plan to upgrade the cam in my truck but I want to see if this cam is the one I want for my truck let me know If I need to post the numbers on the cam.

Check the major cam company websites and see if the numbers match up to their number system. If they match and lead to a ford engine application you are most of the way there.
There are usually cam grind numbers on the end of the cam.

There is some cam grind numbers on the end of the cam but I can't read them to well they are A 1 480 there are numbers and letters inbetween the lobes also these are D4 and 120B can Any one help?
