Replacing nylon fuel lines
Replacing nylon fuel lines
In the process of putting in 7.3L normally asperated diesel in an 89 F250. Need to replace the fuel lines for front and rear tanks. According to the manual fuel lines are nylon but cannot seem to find a vendor that sells this type of fuel line. being that the vehicle is a 1989 I am under the impression the dealer will not have a replacement fuel line for the dual tank system. Any suggestions as to a vendor to get replacement fuel lines for dual tank system? Addiionally will the replacement lines have the "dorman" type connectors?

Heck, just do a Google search....

Yeah I guess after 6 years he has it figured out by now.
When I had the bed off doing the 38 Gallon rear tank replacement. I found a section of fuel line
that got loose and pinched/kinked. I went to PNP and cut out a section, picked up a couple
couplers at the auto supply and pieced it in.
O`Reilly`s or NAPA can get any of this for you....but an internet search can find it cheaper.

I just did both tanks, both senders, selector, and all the line without a lift in hours.
You can get SAE hose in 5/16(the actual OEM line inner diameter) at any parts place at like $1.25/ft. It's thread-braded which is as good as anything you'll find online.
Most of the stuff on eighth gen IDI is basically stuff you see on old tractors. There is no computer to fry and it's actually kind of hard to blow a fuse with selector and sender plugs..
