Car show

Early pic at the car show . We were the 4th vehicle to arrive . 80 cars showed up . Cloudy all day w/ no rain . Local GTO club hosted so all his GM buddies were judging . You know the outcome of this . Heavy GM bias on all 12 awards . Chevelles , GTO's , '55,'56','57 C^*^! No FORDS or Mopars . Good show many interested in the truck & '50 Taylor Tot baby stroller .Have another show sat. & the big AACA show Halloween day . That is going to be a great show .Am signed up for the "Cool Rides" portion that involves giving some lucky attending person a ride the the truck. Also will be judging some class at the show . Will l add pics to post after sat .& after the 10-31 show .Made good on a door prize of a Mequaires bucket with a bunch of care care products, wash mitt , detail spray .& etc. so paid it paid entry .

Nice turnout! Some really nice cars too.

What's the story on that baby ride? Is that the REAL "first ride"?! It's beautifully made!

Ross , the Taylor Tot baby stroller was NOT the ' firstride" That was a combination of left over parts from another stroller resto that was done for a sponsor of the super late model we used to run .He brought it to me as a box of parts .His was the stroller he had as a child but was the deluxe model with the fairings on the wheels like a Cessna air plane .It was quit a job to make it look like new .Had nearly $800 in the resto . The stroller has a long handle that clips onto the rear sides of the stroller . Will put it on & take a pic sat. at the show. The handle on the stroller was made on the lathe as the 2 parts units were missing theirs when received .Asked daughter if she wanted it for the grand daughter but she declined -not enough safety components but we used to ride bicycles all yr. long with out helmets & drink out of the hose !

Went to a car show Sat., judges drove by my truck in a golf cart and never even stopped to look at it. One show before the judge looked at the engine and interior, never even looked at the bed or inside the bed or tailgate. One trophy went to a 2008 Corvette, a 78 trans am, well, you get the picture. I guess if you don't have mag wheels, they aren't interested. Not hostile, just curious as to what they are looking at, or not looking at.
