1958 schoolbus
Theres a 58 schoolbus for sale right around the corner. Its a lein sale and says obo. other than that the sign says it runs. It looks to be in fairly clean shape. i didnt get the phone but if anyones interested e-mail me and i can run over and get it. It 's a "short'' bus, i dont know if that matters though.

It would be interesting to have someone do a bus. I'd smooth the sides so there isn't any ripples. Put some nice wheels on and paint it silver. Put an electric motor on the door so you just push the button and the door opens. For audio you got to have 2 15" woofers, pair of 6x9 and a componet 6 1/2. You should put it on airbags for a better ride and look. Rod out a 292 Y-block with dueces and headers. You got to keep the stop sign but put Ford parking only. Reupholster the seats with tweed and good foam so they are more confortable for your family/friends. A must is airconditioning. It is really easy to improve on a bus since you still ride one to school.

Really tho' I'd be all about a bus....that thing would be sweet! Esp. as a shortie....who'd wanna cruise into a car show with a big ol' Blue Bird!

Wow, that would be great. Has anybody seen the School Daze unit? It's chopped and lowered with huge stock chrome wheels. What a ride. How much do they want for this thing? Where is it located? John in Sac

Nawww, that's news to me. I know that 5 years ago a little mini riot broke out outside one of the casinos, but the cops are keeping a tight lid on things since then. But with 20,000 cars cruising there will be isolated problems. You know that if you take a regular guy/gal and add alcohol you get instant a**hole. Temps are predicted in the 80s only

The number for the officially regestered is 5000. That is usually filled by about Feb/Mar. However, each casino now has its own cruise/show also. The 20,000 sounds high, but when you're there and you see the streets choked with everything from model-As to Panteras you realize it's probably about right. I'll take pictures of the best. Its in pretty good shape. some spots have small rot areas. the worst parts are on the lower front fenders by the cab.and they are about 4''x4''. it doesnt have any seats in the passenger area. I dont remember much else major. but, it was a while ago and i was more than a few beers into it when i looked at it. I will go up tomorrow after work and take some pictures of it and put them in my gallery.
