Upgrading my X....need steering advice

Hey guys, i am working on 01 X diesel

I picked up few parts for it, and am gonna install shortly. So far i have Ranch Hand front bumper (off 2012 so i gotta enlarge mounting holes slightly and remove factory tow rings), used V/B springs, and Monroe Gas Magnum shocks. I want to keep factory 16in rims and tires.

Truck already has rear Hellwig bar, 6637 filter, TS6 chip, and 5in turbo-back exhaust. It runs hard and sounds like fighter jet. On 75hp setting it gets to speed very quickly. Havent tried 100/140 settings yet.

I keep feeling a clunk thru floorboard at slow speed steering, and have it narrowed down to what i think is called Center or Drag link ball joints. Its the adjustable rod that connects Pitman arm to the other adjustable tie rod on passenger side. I cant figure out exact name of this part, and question is also are ball joints on it replaceable or do i have to buy whole rod thing (both ends and threaded sleeve)? Sleeve looks reusable...

Of course mechanic i took it to said ball joints are bad....but i barely have any movement in the wheels when lifted off the ground....and ball joints on there are greaseable as well so I'll grease them some as well. Only loose part in whole front suspension and steering is the two ball joints on the ends of this uppermost tie rod piece

Thanks for advice
