pipe between the cats

anyone know what size the exhaust pipe is between the first cat and the second cat? exhaust is rusted and rattles bad so it needs replaced, i am going to keep the first cat since it is a pretty decent y pipe, removed the second cat replace it with a high flow one from jegs and run pipe to a flowmaster super 44. i would cut the pipe and check what size it is but i already cut the exhaust off 6 inches after the second factory cat and it sounds like crap and lets fumes in the cab. being my daily driver i really dont want to cut it any shorter to check what size the pipe is. thanks
