the way i did my defrost vents i covered the dash completely (even the vents) flipped the dashpad over and sprayed the carpet then made a straight cut with a razor blade and folded the carpet in. So far so good, as far as the screw hole near the windshield i cut carpet away from them then lightly painted the vinyel that was showing black. Cant even notice it
