Exhaust Manifold or Headers

Exhaust Manifold or Headers
My 56 F-100 Has a Valare front suspension & a Big Block 383. Problem is I cant seem to find a exhaust manifold that will fit the left side because of the steering gear box & starter are in the way.
Anyone ever run across this problem, if so what was your cure? Please dont tell me I need to have headers made.

Did you research and see if a front dump exhaust manifold is available for it? I've seen left side front dumps that go in front of the steering box then curl under and back to run the exhaust. (Example: 350 sbc in a Jaguar).
Check cross-references of what front dumps will fit your motor as well if there's not one specifically manufactured for your 383.
