Gear ratio

Is there somewhere on a 96 F-150 that will tell me what the gear ratio is? Curiousity will kill you, I guess!

On the door tag under 'axle'. It will give you a code that you can match up here.

Gear ratio

You can also find out by looking at the tag affixed to the rearend itself from the factory. Near the end of the tag you should find a number, a couple of letters, and then two more numbers. example, 3 ng 73. This would be a 3.73 gear set.

thanks again! I knew there had to be a label somewhere on the rear end, just in case they are swapped out.
