O2 Sensor - which one ?
hey guys - i am getting headers and a new y-pipe and i figured i would replace the O2 sensors. i checked summitracing.com but they only list sensors for 1996-2002 fords. they also list a generic O2 sensor. is that the one i need or do i need to get this from the dealer? also, does anyone know how many i need? thanks.

is it a Mass Air engine? if it is (I think it is) you have two O2 sensors, one before the cat and one after.
Go to any parts store and they should have them in stock.
You do not have to go to the dealer to get O2 sensors.
If it is a Speed Density engine, You only have one sensor right before the first cat.

thanks. It's a 5spd and Speed Density. I have been to a couple parts stores and they tell me that there are 2 different O2 sensors for my truck and they need the number off the old one before they can tell me which one i need. so i am going under the truck today.

Is that what that is? Another o2 sensor? It can't be. I have a '94 f150 w/302 and it's a manual, and I have one o2 sensor before the cat and something after it that has a tube connected to it. What the crap is that man? I think it might be related to EGR but I'm not sure!
