Can anyone tell me how the voltage stabilizer is secured to the board. Getting ready to order a replacement and was curious as how to remove it before getting started. Thanks all.
Mine was riveted in place, and to remove it I drilled them out. Looking at pictures from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, it appears that they use bolts or screws to fix them in place of rivets.
1) 55907-S2 .. Screw-ICVR to instrument cluster back / #8 -18 x 1/2" long.

So, for removing and re-attaching the voltage regulator and speedometer head, screws 55907-S (U-254-B) and 382576-S (BB-817-AK), respectively...
My 1/4" socket is too small, 9/32" is too big - does it use a 17/64" socket? Or are my screws incorrect?
The speedometer head screws appear to come out as #8-32, with a shank of 7/16", threaded for 11/32" of that. No idea on hex head socket size for either.
