Heater Core Shutoff.....
Has anyone heard of installing a "Automatics Heater Core Shutoff Valve" on a 2001 Explorer (5.0 AWD)....
My brother, who owns a '03 F350 Crewcab, Powerstroke, claims his truck came stock with one...
Any thoughts? Comments? VOID a warrenty???

Heater Core Shutoff.....
Unless your 5.0 is different from my 96 4.0 OHV, you already have a heater control valve that shuts off the coolant flow to the heater core. It should be next to the A/C receiver/drier (black cannister next to the windshield cleaner reservoir). You'll know it b/c it has 4 heater hoses going in/out.
