My '67 F100 has retractable lap belts and the driver side doesn't work. Won't unlatch and even sometimes won't stay latched.
Does anyone have experience with the LMC replacements? The picture of the retractor spool in their catalog doesn't look like the same mounting style as the OEM in my pickup.
Maybe I should go to the 3pt. version??
I bought the 3 point LMC belts. They are VERY touchy. For instance, you have to pull them out very slowly to buckle up or they will engage (lock up) as if in an accident. Same thing if you want to turn on your wipers, you have to lean forward rather slowly.
Haven't had a chance to crash-test them yet. Hope I won't, but if I do I'm pretty sure they will catch.
Simple installation. Everything fit where it was supposed to, so no complaints there.
Yup I checked the little rubber plugs for the shoulder (third) point and there are threads in there.
Ordered the three points.
Not as cheap as the ones Uni Moe linked but cheaper than teeth.
Funny I didn't see any offerings from DC for passenger restraints.
I was going to use the threaded plug for the three point also, but it looks too high and too far back. I'm going to go in from the void at the gas tank drill, nut and bold with steel washers for a mount.
I used some three-point belts (and two point for the middle passenger) from a company in OKC. Kind of touchy for the wife to pull through (gripes about them every time), but they seem to work. Looks like the ones in Uni Moe's link.

Try the factory hole 1st Teach. For obvious reasons, putting 3 point belts in mine was one of the 1st things I did. I used that hole. The belt is comfortable for me. I'm 5' 9".
It sure seems a bit high and at the back of the head. Would you post a pic of it?

I mean for lack of identification purposes, don't ya know

I'm the same height. I used the factory holes and the belts are comfortable.

I don't mind recognition. This is me from Gembone's thread.
